Please copy and paste the below questions and then return the answers to us at olga@skazka.ca

The first step in the buying process of buying a puppy is that you take a few minutes to answer the below questions so we can prepare a file.  Of course, there are no right or wrong answers.  However, the answers will help us to get to know you and your family in the puppy purchase process.

After all, our primary goal is to ensure a safe and loving home for each of our puppies for the rest of their lives.

We will place our puppies in homes we feel confident will provide a happy, safe and stable life and care for the lifetime of the puppy. It’s our responsibility to do so. Please provide us with the following information:

  1. Your current contact information: your full name, address, telephone number, and email address where we can reach you directly. It is your responsibility to provide accurate information. If you cannot be contacted, you may jeopardize your place on the waiting list.
  2. What is your first choice (Sex & Colour (Yellow, Black, or Chocolate) puppy?)
  3. What is your second choice (Sex & Colour (Yellow, Black, or Chocolate) puppy?)
  4. Describe your home, including the size of your yard, the type of fencing (wood, chain link, etc.) and the height of any fencing, buildings, enclosures etc.
  5. Why is a Labrador Retriever right for your family? (Please be detailed)
  6. What is your experience with Labrador Retrievers?
  7. What activities do you anticipate doing with your new puppy?
  8. Do you have children or other pets in your home, and how will you ensure a proper fit?
  9. What pets have you owned in the past, and what happened to them?
  10. How will the puppy spend its days in a crate, a dog house outside, a fenced yard, or in an open area?  Where will the puppy sleep? (Please be detailed)
  11. How many hours a day will they be alone?
  12. Where will the puppy be when the family is away from home? (Please be detailed)
  13. How do you plan on giving your new puppy the exercise they need to remain healthy?
  14. Does everyone in your house agree with having a young puppy, and who will do the training? Please note that every family member needs to apply equally every aspect of puppy training in order to be successful. Any bad training is very hard to correct.
  15. Are all your family members willing to assist in all the care and training required for the proper development of a happy and healthy puppy?
  16. Can you think of anything else we should know about your family dynamic to help better match you with one of our beautiful Labrador Retriever puppies?
  17. What experience do you have with raising a puppy or adult dog attending puppy classes, obedience, kindergarten, or any other type of classes or training?
  18. Are you interested in an older puppy or a retired Adult? If so, Male or female and what colour?
  19. The price of the puppy is only the beginning. Have you considered other factors such as veterinary bills, costs for quality food, training, etc. and what are those considerations?

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.  Our goal is to place our puppies into appropriate homes where they will remain happy and healthy throughout their lives.

Answering these questions does not guarantee that you will receive a puppy; however, it helps us to determine various factors necessary, such as availability, sex, colour, and proper fit of a puppy to prospective puppy buyers.

The average life span of a Labrador is 10-14 years, depending on the quality/care of their life.

We would be happy to answer any questions you may have for us.  Please feel free to contact us.
